Here is a list of common questions that may be of help. If you have a question that’s not answered here, please call or email us. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Are there any hidden charges?

No, the price you see is the price you pay. We include a 15% GRATUITY on the bill, along with CT sales tax of 6.35%. There is no service charge like some other companies charge. The 15% gratuity goes directly to the person/people that arrive at your event.

 

What do you supply and what do you do?

A typical party starts with our staff arriving with all the fresh food and the equipment needed to cook and serve the food on site. We bring grills, charcoal, plates, napkins, knifes, forks, spoons, wet naps, bibs – everything! While you enjoy yourself we prep and cook the food, serve the food, and we remove all the garbage when we are done.

 

What do I need to supply?

Anything you want to supply is fine with us. We do offer a variety of extra menu items as well as bar services. (Menu)

 

Can I change or alter my menu selections?

Of course. We can coordinate with you to design the perfect menu for your event.

 

What if some of our guests have allergies?

We take safety seriously. If any of your guests have allergies, please let us know in advance and we will accommodate you and your guest(s).

 

What if it rains?

We always bring pop up tents to cover the serving table as well as our cooking area.

 

How many people will you come on site for?

We come on site for 25 people or more. We do offer Travelin’ Clambakes if you have fewer people. We pack these up for you, you pick them up and cook yourself. (visit our Travelin’ Clambake page)

 

My expected guest count went up / down, what do I do?

We will finalize the details of your event 5 to 7 days before hand. We understand that things change last minute and will do everything we can to accommodate you.

 

What time do you arrive for my event and how long do you stay?

We typically arrive approximately 1.5 hours before your serve time to set up. Our total time on the job is approximately 3 to 4 hours. This depends on the complexity and size of the event.

 

Where does your seafood come from?

We only use live Maine lobsters and our clams and mussels are local.

 

Do you bring extra food?

No, we do not. We bring exactly what you order.

 

What form of payments are acceptable?

We accept cash and checks.

 

When are you open?

We are open seasonally from May to October.
